My dad has a will, living will, health proxy, etc. He wishes to leave his house to me when he dies. If he has to go into a nursing home, will the nursing home take half the property?

You stated "half"-does that mean your Mom is around? There are too many variables to answer this. You need to get a Medicaid Planning attorney. The cost is not a great deal and well worth it.
