What is the average fee for an Estate attorney to charge for probate and filing Estate Taxes?
And is it customary for the Attorney NOT to give you his fee up front?

Re: estate law
Generally speaking, it's not customary in New York City for an attorney to give a definite fee quotation up front, because there are so many variables which may not be known immediately after death and up until final distributions are made.
Good luck.
