eviction after foreclosure or sale
we are 77 years old and must sell our house or foreclose. if we accept the sale on a shortsale will we be forced to vacate the property even if we have not found an affordable place to move? likewise, if we wait to be foreclosed will the banks force us immediately out without our having a place to live or shelter?

You need to go see a lawyer. This is a very serious problem and I cannot understand why you are seeking a solution via a free internet bulletin board.
Good luck.

That is up to the bank. Typically, a bank will commence an eviction proceeding once the house is foreclosed. If you do not have a place to move to, you will want to have an attorney represent you in landlord/tenant court and ask the court for more time, once the eviction is commenced.
