My husband and I have just moved into a new residence. I need to use his Power of Attorney as he can no longer sign his name on items but it has our previous address on it. Can I just cross out that old address and write in the new address or do I have to go to a lawyer and have a new Power of Attorney drawn up. Can you please answer this for me? I would appreciate that. Thank you.

Don't cross out anything on the power of attorney. The next time you use the Power of Attorney, show your old and new driver's licenses and other documents to whomever questions the address change and most likely that will work. To be absolutely safe the answer to your question is "yes," have a new Power of Attorney made.
