What is the legal age to drop out of high school in nyc?

New York Education Law (Chapter 16 of the Consolidated Laws, Title IV, Article 65, Part I, Section 3205) says minors between the ages of 6 and 16 must attend school on a full time basis.
If you turn 16 during the school year you have to finish out the term.
