Lien for Parental Care
My mother who is an LPN(Licensed in CT) provided over six months of health care for my grandmother. Resulting from a conflict, my grandfather removed her from the home. My mother wishes to recover her employment losses and personal financial contributions. Does she have grounds for a case?

Re: Lien for Parental Care
If there was a verbal contract that the
grandparents would pay for the services
there can be a recovery
If there was no agreement as to the payment
there will be great deal of difficulty in
this regard
a lawsuit in quantum meruit for the value
of the services rendered being necessities
may be brought but a court could rule that
the rendering of such service was a gift
