medicaid eligibility
My father needs to be placed in a nursing home. He is eligibale now for medicaid. My mother tranferred her money to me more than three years ago. My mother also owned her house which she transferred to me exactly two years ago. Will the State of New York place a lean on the house my mother transferred if Medicaid is used for the payment of my father's nursing home? My father does not own money or the home for more than five years.

Re: medicaid eligibility
No the current Medicaid look-back period is 5 years so if your father's name has been off the deed for 5 years, it would not be disclosed in his Medicaid application.
If you should need an attorney to apply for Medicaid, you may contact me at anytime.
