Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York
copywright infringement
if i wanted to use a large amount of lines from various other screenplays to make a separate idea, is that illegal? is it the way it's conveyed? for example if i used ''show me the money'' in a yard sake scene, is that infringement? what if it's parodied? bottom line: can it be done without asking permission for each line?

Re: copywright infringement
You can use brief segments from other shows as long as it is being used to connote a separate idea. Parody is permissible, so is editorial comment.
