Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York

I am creating a website dedicated to the world cinema. It is a non-profit, educational site. In it I am displaying various excerpts (not full films) from different film, all of the clips state, which film is it from, who made it and there are also links to the imdb.com and other websites for more information. I wanted to know if I am braking any laws if not only I won�t make money from this website, but also advertise works of film art. Also if some films clips have NC-17 content in them what do I need to do to make it legal? Thank you.
