Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York

Filming Question/ Entertainment Law:

there are 3 owners of a property where I would like to film a tv show in N.Y state. I will have permission from at least one owner to film, is that enough or do I need a majority of owners or do I need all of the owners to give permission to film?

Thanks!

It depends on the internal agreements the owners have with one another. If one is permitted to represent the group then generally speaking it would be enough. If the property is owned by a company then the shareholder/members/officers with the appropriate powers would need to approve.

Simply ask the three or the one if their permission is sufficient and get it in writing.
