right not to havemy contract sold to another
Shouldn�t an Artist have the right to approval the sale, transfer or exchange of Artist�s contract to another person(s), firm, corporation, affiliate or company? �Company may assign this Agreement to any third party or to any of Company�s Affiliates or to any person or entity owning or acquiring a substantial portion of the stock or assets of Company. You may not assign this Agreement or any of your rights hereunder, and any such attempted assignment shall be void. This Agreement shall be binding upon you and Company and shall inure to the benefit of you and Company�s respective successors and assigns. This Agreement shall also be binding upon any entity which, directly, or directly, in whole or part, through one or more intermediaries, owner or control, is owned or controlled by, or is under common ownership or control with, you (a �Controlled Entity�). Accordingly, this Agreement is hereby accepted by you on your behalf and on behalf of each Controlled Entity

This is a point that is open to negotiation, as are most point in any agreement. This merely highlights why you need someone to look at the whole agreement, not just the bits and pieces that you have questions about. I'm sure that there are things in the agreement that you are missing. Get help now.

Yup. Exactly right. Trust your thinking, but get some legal advice to guide you. That clause is there for the manager's benifit only. The only way I would allow it is if there were other clauses for the artist that made it worth it.
