Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York
I want to write a song that mentions (not in a derogatory sense) several prominent celebrities in it. CIs there any reason that any of them could sue me on privacy or other issues. or as they are all in the public, fair game?

Celebrities are in a special category regarding defamation, etc. The first thing is: if what you say is true, there is no liaility. For example, making reference to Lindsay Lohan's drinking problem is okay becuase it is true. The second thing: celebrities are in the public eye and have sacrificed some protections. But the biggest thing remains - if what you say is "true" then you are in the clear.
