Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York
Writing on a Confidential Matter
I filed a case against my former employer on sexual discrimination. If I settle the case with my former employer, and sign a confidentiality agreement, am I required to give up any hopes of writing a book, play or movie about my experiences, even if it is sold to a publisher/producer as 'fiction'? If I agree not the talk about the experience, does this preclude me from talking about it 'absolutely,' or is there some leeway to talk about it as long as the company, and the participants, are given psuedonyms?

Re: Writing on a Confidential Matter
It all depends on the language and scope of the confidentiality agreement.
