1: can the family court mail me papers? Shouldn't it be certified?

2: can you have two open family court case in different city pertaining to the same case?

1. If the case is open and active, notices can be made by regular mail.

2. It all depends. Indeed, recently, I had a case involving a divorced couple and a child spanning two states and three counties (one in Erie and two Georgia counties). By way of example, if a divorce happens in Nassau County, but the noncustodial parent moves to Westchester, both counties could arguably handle different issues that may arise. As a result, more information is needed about your case.
