Are your mom and dad living together, or are they living apart? Has your mother been appointed your legal custodian by a court? If you're living in the same house as both parents, they need to work it out, it would seem, but legally you certainly can work if both of your parents are your legal custodians and one says it's okay to work. As a practical matter, if you are living under the same roof as your mother and choose not to obey her directives, your home life could prove to be miserable, so perhaps you can, with your dad's help, work out the issues with your mother so that you can continue to work with her permission.
