Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have 2 questions:

1- If a decision and judgement is dated February 25, by what date am I legally responsible to pay?

2 - If the judgement is to do a quadro - is there a charge and who pays?

Kristen Browde Browde Law, P.C.

February 25.

A QDRO is a qualified domestic relations order. It's a document most often drafted by an attorney, then signed by the judge, that divides an asset such as a pension or 401k.

The attorney generally charges for the drafting of the order, but the pension plan or 401k ordinarily does not charge for implementing it. Who pays any charge is a matter of negotiation and/or the court's judgment.
