Legal Question in Family Law in New York

9 Separate Violations between Supreme, Family and Support Courts - Please Help!

My husband's ex has moved out of state. 2 Children, 14 and 15 - she had 15 y/o, my husband has had custody of 14 y/o for over 2 years. Ex has denied any kind of contact going either way since my husband gained custody of 14 y/o. Ex has not complied with ANY court order that has requested her to provide W2's every year, provide contact info, employment info, etc. and in the past, no court has ever forced the issue with her as she always lies to get out of all of her responsibilities. My husband pays all of the child support - she pays and provides NOTHING. My husband now has sole custody of the 14 y/o, she now has sole custody of the 15 y/o. Husband is now being forced to take out a separate H.I. policy for the 15 y/o even though everyone (including this child) is already covered under my H.I. Neither child wants anything to do with the non-custodial parent - 14 y/o wants me to adopt her, but although mother has refused any kind of contact, she refuses to sign off rights or support this child as well. Is there ANYTHING my husband and I can do to resolve this as I can guarantee that we will have problems with getting the 14 y/o through college and will continue to have problems every 2 years as we have always had in the past

Why haven't you moved to enforce the court orders and seek to jail the cretin? It is time she pay the piper. Your husband needs to "get some guts" and take her to the judge and get the following ultimatium:"You either comply lady, or you go to jail... you have 10 days." I know you have 9 separate violations...it doesn't matter until you get one enforced.

A lawyer who knows what he is doing and is well armed (ie paid in full) will be able to get that done all things being equal. If your lawyer is paid and has been unsuccessful, maybe you need to change lawyers. If you don't have a lawyer for something as important as this, get one!!!

Best wishes.
