Legal Question in Family Law in New York
10 Years of abandonment
Hi,
I'd like to know how to get a divorce if my wife left me 10 years ago. Also, how can I find out if she has already divorced me? She left the state and I hav no idea where she could be.

You have a problem.
To get a divorce in New York you normally have to personally serve the individual. That is because under both State and Federal constitutions, an individual is entitled to due process.
So first, in good faith you must attempt to locate your wife.
If you cannot locate your wife, an application must be made to publish the Summons and Verified Complaint. No easy task.
Good luck.
Mike.
