Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Im 15 years old and just had a baby. my father went to court and said he got partial custody of my son the thing is i dont know how he did that because wouldnt i have to go to court and wouldnt he have to fight to get partial custody of my son. Or can they just give him partial custody without my knowledge?

Ask him to provide with a copy of the Order stating same, don't just take his word for it. if there is something to that effect, then go to family court where he obtained the Order and ask a Clerk there for further instructions on how to go about fighting the Order...
