Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I am 66 yr old physically disabled, married (21 years) male New Yorker, father of 20 year old healthy full-time female college student still living at home and who gets my disability benefits towards her tuition. She is not employed.

My wife is 55 years old, healthy, self-employed and earns in excess of $60-65,000 per year. We have a one-family house with a $2400 monthly mortgage. My monthly social security benefits= $1746 per month (totaling $21,000 per year). I contribute $1300 per month (= $15,600 per year) towards our household expenses.

I have no savings, no pension, no other income. Communication and respect has broken down amongst us. I am unhappy and want to jump ship and move to Illinois to live with my terminally-ill sister who is alone and needs attention, who has a paid-for house and space to accommodate me.

Our house, although jointly bought, is in my wife's name and I am not about to fight over it.

If separated, will my wife be entitled to any part of my monthly social security benefits while I'm alive?

What legal recourse might she have to compel me to pay for whatever?

Will our daughter continue to be eligible for disability benefits toward her education?
