Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Abondonment

My husband of 2 years abondoned me and our home that we have for 1 year. He is out of the home paying not 1 bill and still has not filed for a legal seperation. Is he responsiable for any of the house billd untill anything is agreed on? Also he just received his green card jan 7th and left the 14th of Jan. Is there anything I can do about either??

Suggest that YOU:

File for divorce and demand the value and return of all of the equity and value you contributed to your household and marriage, based on equitable distribution. To wit: have him transfer the house and all belongings to you.

Seek help... counseling, to get past your anger, hurt, bitterness and desire for retribution.

Trying to "get even" with him will only hurt YOU.

Get over it.
