adoption

does the person giving up the baby need to know who the father is? does a lawyer need to be involved if all people involved are consenting to the adoption or can they just go to family court?

Re: adoption

An adoption cannot be finalized w/o the Actual or "Constructive" Consent of both the mother and father.

"Constructive Consent" might be obtained by proof, to the Court, that the "father" (or mother) of the child has ACTUALLY been properly AND timely, NOTIFIED that an Adoption Petition for the child is being presented to the Court and the "absent" parent fails or refuses to object to the proposed Adoption, ...
