Re: adultery
You should contact a qualified matrimonial attorney in your area. Ending a marriage that has lasted 25 years will in many cases mean there are complicated questions of property and support that have to be worked out.
If I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to be in touch. I'll be in depositions Friday morning, but should be back in the office by mid afternoon.
Re: adultery
I am sorry you are going through such a difficult time in your life. As with any life-changing event in a person's life, a divorce, especially after such a long marriage, will require careful planning to ensure that your rights are fully protected; such as property rights, pensions, joint assets and debts, children, etc. For example, you may want to consider a settlement agreement between you and your husband prior to rushing into a hostile divorce. Please feel free to call my office if you wish to discuss your situation further.
