You should look into filing a petition for child support. As the other attorneys mentioned, the FamilY Court has resources to help you. Feel free to call my office at (212) 255-4077 if you would like more particular information.
Re: adultrey
I recommend that you go to your local Family Court for assistance with respect to the Child Support issues.
Re: adultrey
Go to your local Family Court ASAP re the Family Court issues, as indicated by the prior attorney; AND, investigate whether your husband's employer has Union benefits that includes legal services. You may be able to retain an attorney via your husband's benefit package. Look into it. Also, you might investigate the legal clinics at local law schools for legal assistance re your family law matters.
Good luck,

It is a difficult situation, but not as bad as you may feel at this time.
For one thing, a court may require him to pay your attorney fees. In addition, a free lawyer may be possible as well.
You are welcome to a consultation for no fee.
