Legal Question in Family Law in New York

i need advice

i'm in the army station in korea. today i recieved a letter from the court in oneida county ny the mother of my child wants a modification on the child support order i pay 403.00. she wants me to pay for medical bills, dental insurance and 20 co payments. i need send my financial information in, but i'm in korea not around the corner and it says on the letter that if i need to appear telefonically i need to call 10 days in advance, well today is jan 25. i can't just leave here to show up in court on the 5th. should i call the court and let them know where i am? please help

Re: i need advice

You can call the court and let them know that you are on active duty in Korea. Under Federal law state court proceedings are stayed for individuals in the military on active duty.
