Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Need advice

While i was visiting my parents my husband threatened me over the phone and told me to come back by fathers day or else. When i came home i found out he had changed the locks on me and refused to give me the key. I had to go back to my parents house in another state and once their found emails in our ISP from him to another women. Ill spare the graphic details but he has filed for custody but not divorce

and claims that i left him and that i kept him from seeing his son. I can only assume that asking him six separate times did not make it clear enough that he could visit his son anytime

he was able to. It seems that the only concern anyone has is that i left state lines and not that he locked me out of our home. The judge gave him three weeks visitation of our son who is only two. Everything seems to be going my husbands way and i have no idea what to do , I could really use some advice.

Re: Need advice

Without knowing all the particulars, I cannot give you any specific advice. But your husband CANNOT lock you out.

You are entitled to child support and perhaps spousal supprt as well.

I suggest you contact me or another attorney and seek representation.
