Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Please advise if I have a good chance to modify my ex once a week mid week overnight visitations for the dinner time with the child. He lives far, and he drives him to school once a week for almost 1 hour and 30 min. It's pretty stressful on my son. considering that they are leaving at 6:50 am. His school is near his home where he lives with me. and he takes a yellow bus (20 min) to school. Besides I can't put him in any extra-curriculum activities after the school since if I do, the child will be sitting in 2 hour traffic, and will just go there to sleep. My ex also has every other weekend visitations. As hard is on my ex (the driving) he will never give up, and never agrees to dinner time if I talk to him. Thanks
