Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Alimony

I am currently divorced. I receive alimony order by Supreme Court Judge. X is currently unemployed and collecting severence. This runs out in 4mos. What is my recourse if he should stop paying? He does have substantial bank acct. The judge also ruled that I would lose my alimony if I should live with a boyfriend for over 89 days. I currently have a boyfriend that owes two homes. If I should lose my alimony I would have financial whoas. If I was to live in his 2nd home could this be considered cohabitation? The homes have two different addresses. This is a weekend relationship, he does live 2 hrs away.

Re: Alimony

Without seeing the actual support order, it is impossible to answer your question. You should speak to a lawyer in person.
