Re: alimony regulations

A person has an obligation to follow any and all Court Orders and Judgments, with respect to Court Ordered Obligations, unless and until such Court Order or Judgment is Terminated.

Therefore, unless or until your husband obtains a Court Order terminating his obligation to pay your alimony, his obligation continues, and arrears accrue.

Your ex- husband can do anything he chooses. For him to follow proper legal procedure however,he must petition the court with notice to you for a downward modification of alimony based upon changed circumstances.
