Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Amber Alerts for unmarrieds

I am not married to my son's father. There is currently no custody ruling in place by a judge. If he kidnaps our son, because we are unmarried and do not have sole custody, would an Amber Alert still be put out for my son?

You shouldn't concern yourself about amber alerts, you should petition the Court for a formal custody order. This will also allow you to petition for child support and create a formal visitation schedule for the non-custodial parent.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can call my office to schedule an appointment for a consultation or in the alternative, I can be reached for on-phone low-cost legal consultation at 1-800-275-5336 x0233699.

I am sorry that the need to be worried about this issue has come about for you. It is a difficult thing when you cannot trust someone with whom you have been intimate.

While an amber alert may be issued, your first priority should be to record your childs finger/footprints so that he can be found. second, get a custody order from the court. Take the steps you need to build your defenses and legal rights. You are welcome to a consultation at no charge at my offices at 42 west 44th st., NY,NY. Please call for an appointment first.
