attorney fees
Is there any type of fee schedule for ordinary, uncomplicated form sumittals by attorneys? My attorney is charging me for 8 hours time to prepare a simple cross petition for payment of child support after my ex petetitioned to have child support reduced. This seems extravagant to me.

Many years ago, the local Bar Associations published median legal fees for routine matters. Unfortunately courts ruled that was a violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust act and that was that.
If you are unhappy with the charges, seek other counsel now and ask that he negotiate the fee for work al;ready completed.
