Re: back to court for increase of child support

I am in Nassau County. However, I have experience dealing with Family Court issues when my client is on active duty.

In a nutshell, under Federal law the State court does not have jurisdiction to adjudicate a claim against an individual on active military duty.

Re: back to court for increase of child support

You should be able to have a lawyer appear for you and arrange for you to appear by telephone or other electronic means, as necessary. The court will entertain a petition to increase support as long as it sufficiently alleges that the child's needs are not being met due to a substantial change in circumstances. Consult an attorney with details of your case as soon as possible.
