Re: billing

Q. i called to ask for copies of documents they prepared and charged me for and said im not entitled to those copies is that true so what did i pay for?

A. A client is entitled to copies of work performed by the attorney.

Q. what recourse do i have?

A. You may ask for arbitration from the local bar association. The cost is approximately $150. The arbitrator will review the work, bill submitted and hear testimony from you and the attorney. The arbitrator will determine whether money is owed by the attorney to you.

Mike.
