Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Biological father rights
Hello! My 25 year old niece is terminally ill with cancer and has 1-2 year life expectancy. She has 2 young children ages 6 and 7. Their biological father just got out of prision for arson. He has been in and out for the past 5 years. My question is, will he be granted rights to the children??? I am very worried about this.

Re: Biological father rights
He could be. You have every right to worry. Get her and you to a family lawyer right away. She will have to make arraignments for the kids. I am so sorry for the diagnosis. Keep the faith though. Medical science finds new ways of curing diseases everyday.
God Bless you the kids, and her.
Good luck.
