Is my boyfriend still married?

My boyfriend confessed to me that he got married in Las Vegas at the age of 19 and never saw the woman again. He is now 29. I would love to marry him eventually, but worry that his previous marriage could still be legal. Is he technically married, or would the lapse of time make it null and void?

Assyning that the marriage was legal at the time he entered into it, he is indeed still married, and can not remarry until he does something to end the previous marriage.

Yes, your boyfriend is technically still married; the lapse of time does not make his marriage null and void; he would have to get an annulment or a divorce in order to remarry.
