would i be breaking the law if?
my wife locked me out of our home both names on the deed. i want to take a locksmith and gain entry to take up residence. would i be breaking the law? or as part owner can i enter

I'd need to know more about the circumstances before I say whether you're breaking any law. But whether you are or not, that action will lead you into a situation in which you're putting yourself at considerable risk of a domestic violence complaint.

You might want to find out whether your wife obtained an Order of Protection against you before you go back to your marital home.
You and your wife may also want to see a marriage counselor.
