Re: Re Calculation of Child Support

From your question, I cannot tell if you are paying child support or receiving child support, so I will answer the question from both perspectives.

If you are paying child support, get an attorney. There can be signifigant legal repurcussions to not paying child support, or not paying enough child support, and you should have an attorney to advise you of all potential issues.

If you are receiving child support, it would be a good idea to get an attorney if you can afford to pay one. You need to have all your financial information readily available, and get any information on the payor you can.

Best of luck!

Re: Re Calculation of Child Support

You will likely need an attorney because your judgment of divorce has to be modified to be enforceable. You can attempt to have this matter resolvede in Family Court - if your judgment of divorce provides for Family Court jurisdiction on future support questions/issues. If it does, you can file a modification petition in Family Court without an attorney.
