Legal Question in Family Law in New York

What happens in a case of divorce where the husband is a shareholder in a French company. He stayed in France, the wife returned to the US. The marriage was in France but the divorce proceedings will be in the USA.

The divorce would be handled like any other and the assets divided under the rules of the jurisdiction in which the divorce takes place.

Depending on the amount of time you were in France, New York may not have jurisdiction over the husband.
