Legal Question in Family Law in New York
child custody
I have 3 children, my husband adopted my 2 girls from my previous relationship. He now wants to ''unadopt'' them. He has no contact with them in 10 months. The girls biological father who has not seen them in 7 years has gotten in contact with the law guardian, I have been told to allow email contact. This man has no legal rights. On top of this my husband has made false allegations of me having made suicidal attempts in the past and my son was removed in Feb. due to this. I have I always had custody of all 3 and my girls remain with me. I have provided reports from psy. and therapist that I am not suicidal. cps investigated, not founded. the judge has not granted a trial yet, this has been since FEb. 2006. my questions are; can a law guardian force contact between a father that has no legal rights(lost when children were adopted)? 2. can a judge force a settlement and am I entitled to a trial within a certain time period?
