child custody and being able to move
ok im trying to find someone some help. she has sole legal custody. court order that she can't take her son more than 40 miles away from the father without permission. has found a better job and life in minnesota. she wants to move to minnesota but the father of her son is dragging his feet and won't talk about. how can she can she get it so she can move out of state?

You will have to petition the Family Court to allow you to move with the child to Minnesota. However, be prepared. If the petition is granted, you will probably have to pay all travel expenses associated with the child's visitation of the father.
