Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Child custody

my ex wife has physical custody of our children and some how she signed custody over to her mother without notifying my question is is that legal and shouldn't i be notified through the courts? do i have say in who has custody of my children?

These are your children as well and you have the right to know about anything that affects their well being and anything else that involves them. You should contact an attorney in your area as soon as possible. When the issue involves children it can get very complicated and you need someone that knows the law in this area.
