Child Custody New York State

My daughter in law was arrested for domestic violence and drug possession, my son has an Order of Protection for one year. She was just arrested by the DA for an ''e'' felony insurance fraud (Post Office). Does my son have a good chance of getting sole custody of his son.

Custody is based on what is in the best interest of the child. If you believe that it is in the best interest of the child for your son to have custody, then yes, he has a good chance of getting custody of his son.

If the charges stick your son can use it as a reason to obtain sole custody.
