Re: When a child is a full time student what is the age child support stops?

If a child is a full time student, and is not self-supporting the non-custodial parent has to pay to age 21 unless there is an agreement otherwise.

When the child is emancipated ie. fully employed, married, joining the armed services, etc. the non-custodial parent then has the right to stop child support if he goes to court and the court says so.

a child going to school, even if employed part time, is not considered emancipated, even if he lives in a dormatory and not at home, as his home is considered your home and he comes back to the house on school hollidays and vacations.
