What is the legal age to leave a child home alone (approximately 2 hours)

There is no statutory age where a parent may leave a child home alone. Neglect cases would revolve around the maturity of the child and the safety of the situation. Obviously leaving a 5 year old alone would be looked upon badly - but when you get to age 12 and above - the child's maturity becomes and issue, as does the circumstances of the situation. In any event there is no clear cut answer.
