Child Wants To Make A Decision

At what age can I child make his/her own decision about visitation with a parent who has joint custody in New York State

An older child will be heard by the court, however, he really doesn't get to make the call. It will ultimately be up to the judge with help from the child's guardian ad litem.

If you are the custodial parent, be very sure you do not do anything to alienate the child, or you could lose the child.
