child suport

i just filed my income tax, my agreement with my x wife is to pay 17% in child suport.would this be based on my inome on my income tax that i filed for 2003,for the 2004 year.i did sart a new jod this year that pays more than what i made last year .so how do i fiqure out what i owe???? thanks for your help

Re: child suport

17% of your CSSA income roughly means that you calculate 17% of your annual gross income (up to $80,000.00) minus apx 10%

to wit: gross income minus 10% x 17% = child support due.

10% represents approximation of FICA & Medicare paid (Not Taxes)out of wages. Income may also be reduced further by other deductions such as: union dues,.. etc., but not taxes.

"Add Ons" are not included in the "Basic [17%] Child Support provisions. "Add Ons" include extras, like: camp, tutors,etc...
