Child Support Calculation
I have a few questions regarding child support calculations. My wife doesn't work, so my income is all we have. Is the child support I owe going to be based on my last year's income only, or an average of the last 3 years? I have heard both, and am unsure which is correct. Also, is it that figure capped at $80,000 per year, or is it unlimited? Again, I have heard both, and am unsure which is correct.

Re: Child Support Calculation
Based on curent income unless the court finds that you have purposefully altered same to reduce your obligation. Child support calculation as a required percentage of income is capped at $80K HOWEVER the court has discretion to award additional support over the 80K depending on lifestyle/needs, etc of child.
