My Children have been living with me permanately for the past two years, but I am still being garnished for child support. How can I have this child support payment terminated being my children are living with me?

Re: Child Support

To obtain relief, you should file a petition with the Family Court ASAP. If you do nothing, they will continue taking your money.

Clearly, you are also entitled to RECEIVE child support.

If you wish to discuss this with me privately, please call to schedule a consultation.

I practice in NYC and Long Island.

Re: Child Support

You are not only entitled to suspend the child support payments, but to actually receive support.

You must make a motion in court.
