child support

got divorce about 2 years ago in NJ, living in Long Island, NY. Ex decides not to give child support, can I file in Long Island courts for child support or do I have to go back to NJ courts where I got divorce, ex lives in NJ, divorce was done in NJ.

Whether you want to Petition for child support, for the first or enforce the child support provisions of your NJ divorce, IF your child lives with you in Long Island, NY, you may file for child support or enforcement, in your local NY Family Court, Pro Se, (ie., w/o an attorney).
