At what age does child support stop in New York. Under what condion can it continue beyond the legal age.

In most cases, courts in New York award child support until the child reaches age 21. These payments may be terminated earlier if the child is emancipated, most often because the child begins full time employment or marries, and may under some circumstances be extended - most often if the child is a full time college student.
